For grilled tofu:

  • 1 pkg tofu
  • 2 packets stevia
  • 1 tbsp garlic
  • 1 tbsp ginger
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil

For salad dressing:

  • 1/4 cup red wine vinegar (could use rice vinegar)
  • 1/8 cup olive oil
  • 1/8 cup sesame oil
  • 1/4 cup light (reduced sodium) tamari (for gluten free, or use soy sauce)
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tsp crushed chilis
  • 2 packets stevia
  • 1 tbsp garlic (or 3 cloves)
  • 1 tbsp ginger



  1. Β Drain and press between paper towels 1 package of tofu, cut into cubes.
  2. In a small bowl, pour sesame oil over cubed tofu, add stevia, garlic, ginger, and shake bowl until evenly coated.
  3. On a grill pan (gives those nice grill lines), using cooking spray (helps keep the fat content down), grill tofu on med-high heat, flipping once to ensure evenly cooked. Β Pull off heat and place on plate/tupperware in fridge to cool (salad is served cold).
  4. In a salad shaker (or other easily mixable container), add all the salad dressing ingredients together and shake vigorously. Β The salad dressing will separate when not in use, because regular salad dressings have emulsifiers and stabilizers to keep the oil and water portions emulsed. Β We aren’t adding those chemicals to just shake before using :)
  5. Use favorite salad (I like the Spring mix for this – has a nice earthy flavour), place cubes on top, and pour 1 – 2 tbsp of dressing on top.
  6. Enjoy!
